January 03, 2005 | New Year

Welcome to 2005.

This will be a good year, well settled in to the aughts.

I'll be writing here a little more often and as soon as I figure out some image problems, I'll start with a series of book reviews, including books from Matthew Brezinski, Dana Priest, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Daniel Solove and Jeffrey Rosen.

In the meantime, take a look at yet another story about the problems with name-based lists -- this time focusing on a man named Carlos Garcia.

There's at least 6 of them in San Francisco, according to Google and the phone book.
